The Power of Attention : SAT 5 - 7:30pm w/ Alex
There are so many things to focus on during practice that it could lead a person to treating yoga like a list of tasks. Like a drill sergeant, you are telling your body what to do as if your body were a machine or brain taxi.
But you will notice that this is very much of “every day task brain” and often the opposite state of being that are your best, most connected moments. The difference between these two is in how we use our attention. The every-day / task-master mind is the mind that navigates the domain of infinite distraction. The AT-ONE Mind, where mind & body are not so separate, is where the magic happens.
How do we get from the every-day / task-master mind to AT-ONE mind? The bad news is that it’s a process. This means that there’s nothing you can read on the screen that will get you there. The good news is that it’s a process that you can be lead in. This will be the focus of our workshop.
Let Alex lead you through a series of yoga poses, breath, and attention exercises designed to land you in AT-ONE mind, where ease of being resets your body, mind, and soul.
